Happy New Year to you all!
It has been a rough start to 2020 for many in Canberra and our surrounds. I have to say though I am so awestruck by the stories coming from our many clients about ways they have supported people during the bushfires and the ongoing aftermath. So many people have helped with firefighting, travelled to NSW towns with equipment to do earth work, cleared fire damage, put up fences, provided generators and materials, ran fundraising events, donated funds and supported people being evacuated. You are all amazing!
While many people feel like they didn’t get much of break, we are all back at work and starting to focus on the year ahead. We are looking forward to working with you all again during the year.
Helping You be Compliant
When you are running a business there are so many bookkeeping and compliance issues you need to stay across. But that’s not really why you started your business, right? That’s where we come into the picture.
We’re here to help make it easier to deal with everything you need to!
The ATO Knows a Lot More About Your Superannuation Compliance in 2020.
Don’t be dilly-dallying with your superannuation commitments, the ATO is now more informed than ever with the introduction of Single Touch Payroll (STP).
With STP reporting, the ATO is now able to see:
- Which employers are not reporting
- Which employers are not accruing Super, or not accruing correctly
- Which employers are not paying Super (the super funds report all payments received)
The ATO now has the means to be proactive in chasing employer compliance. Let’s make sure this isn’t you.
