What do you love about being a Canberra bookkeeper at Trade Guardian?
I love that I am constantly learning new things and am supported by an amazing team.
What do clients love about the bookkeeping services you deliver for them?
I have a keen eye for detail and am happy to assist with whatever is required.
What are your professional qualifications and where did you achieve them?
I am currently studying a Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping at the AMC Training Centre.
What three words would you use to describe your role?
Interactive, Rewarding, Supportive.
What does a typical day look like for you?
Coffee… After that, I can start my day with a commute from Yass to the Big Smoke. Then assisting clients with queries, running payroll, and completing general bookkeeping tasks.
What is your favourite achievement to date, either personal or professional?
Completing a 10-week challenge at the gym and losing 10kgs over this period.
What professional skills are you most proud of? i.e. what do you best?
I would say taking the leap to start my Cert IV.
If you could choose anyone, who would you pick as your mentor?
Co-worker Penny Shaw. She has some seriously good knowledge in that head of hers. We also have similar leaning techniques as well
The fun stuff…
What gets you out of bed in the morning?
A Nespresso Ristretto pod.
What’s your most memorable face-palm moment?
Playing golf with a friend and basically standing on top of the ball and saying I can’t find it anywhere… Literally was right under my nose.
When was the last time you laughed so hard you almost cried, and why?
I have so many of these moments with my sister it’s hard to pick just one. However, I’d probably say trying on Bridesmaid dresses and laughing at some of the crazy things we were trying on.
What is your motto or personal mantra?
As we drive along this road called life, sometimes a gal can find herself a little lost. And when that happens, I guess she has to let go of the coulda, shoulda, woulda and buckle up and just keep going. Carrie Bradshaw

What is your guilty pleasure?
Grazing Platters and a G&T or Champagne
At which store would you like to max-out your credit card?
David Jones. First stop would be the kitchen department and then onto clothing and shoes.
What is something funny/quirky/interesting about you that most people would not expect?
I have an interest in Event Management and Catering, Grazing tables in particular.
