What do you love about being a Canberra bookkeeper at Trade Guardian?
Getting to know lots of Canberra small businesses and being part of a proactive and knowledge-driven team.
What do clients love about the bookkeeping services you deliver for them?
I believe our help makes their lives easier and helps business owners feel on top of their businesses.
What are your professional qualifications and where did you achieve them?
I received my Masters of Professional Accounting from Macquarie University in 2016.
What three words would you use to describe your role?
Supportive, front-line business data interpreter and team-bee!
What does a typical day look like for you?
Always being in touch with the Trade Guardian team and our clients. Being proactive and a good planner and ensuring I undertake accurate work!
What is your favourite achievement to date, either personal or professional?
I have a beautiful giant Monstera plant that I nursed from a tiny pot.
What professional skills are you most proud of? i.e. what do you best?
Organisation and Discipline.
If you could choose anyone, who would you pick as your mentor?
I would choose Kristin. I’ve been learning from her and I love it. Another thought…. a combination of everyone in our great team.
The fun stuff…
What gets you out of bed in the morning?
My cat sitting on my face!
What’s your most memorable face-palm moment?
I thought Raisin bread was literally raisins sitting on top of bread. I served it at a neighbourhood party.
When was the last time you laughed so hard you almost cried, and why?
Playing Rayman Legends with my partner on Xbox. The game where you smash each other in a race.
What’s your favourite blog or social media site?
Given a chance, who would you like to be for a day?N
What’s your favourite line from a film?
‘What doesn’t kill you simply makes your stronger’. The Dark Knight.
What is your guilty pleasure?
Deviating from plans just to irritate my partner…
At which store would you like to max-out your credit card?
Not a credit card type of person myself.
